Hi all,

I'm back to the list after a 2-year gap. Never stopped doing the raw thing, but changed job, got married, lost my job, started my own business, got busy, moved house, started to breathe again. My name was Sara Shooter before, from Manchester, UK.

I've been vegan for 9 years and been doing high raw for about 2 years and almost totally for the last year (with the occasional slip!). I've certainly felt the change - 14lb lighter, calmer, more balanced. Originally I turned to raw in an attempt to cure my digestive problems - I wet through the medical route until they told me there was no more they could do for me. Raw stopped it within 2 days - I couldn't believe it after what I'd been through.

I usually eat fruit all day - melon, mangoes, apples, nectarines, whatever I can get that's organic and ripe (not easy in this country!) and have a green salad with avocado and whatever else I fancy (raw). I'm a fan of durian and coconut too. Dehydrated stuff doesn't do much for me any more - I just make things like that for my husband Alex who's a new raw recruit after hearing Loren Lockman speak a month ago.

I'm about to start growing some of my own food to get better quality, save money and do what I'm supposed to be doing. I'm also fasting from time to time to get rid of the cravings I keep getting for dairy products - I've already beaten bread, potatoes, chocolate and eggs...
