Season Greetings from Vienna Austria. Is nice to find more Ginners out there. My ancestors come from Thaur nearby Innsbruck in the Tirolean Alps. The family is said to be recorded there since the twelfth century. The name is said to come from a time, when Tiroleans were climbing mountains using copper axes. In the old language the "ginner" was that guy who starts (begin) a new settlement building the first homestead in an area.

I pretty much adhere to natural hygiene in my daily life and try to apply it as much as possible with my children (it's very difficult to raise children with different eating habits to the ones the society adopts). I do use fasting as a "cure" when my children or I are occasionally sick. But after finding the interview with Ward Nicholson in the article "The Psychology of Idealistic Diets" and going to more and more sites with discussions and views and criticisms I am starting to get majorly confused. Maybe you can help me? Best regards, Mona

I make handcrafted coconut bowls. I've got 60 bowls displayed on my website so you can select from the 60 photographs. I have a backup of 2,000 bowls, so when a bowl is sold, the photo is deleted and a new bowl and photo takes its place. Cocograms: Send a real Hawaiian coconut anywhere in the U. S. The information in this site is what I've been searching for. I am eating about 70% raw now, and would like to go 100%. It's hard without the support from family and friends, who don't understand. With this new found information and a strong desire I hope to achive my goals.

interesting comment about initial weight loss being possibly due to detox. still having problems eating raw when the weather is cold - definitely could use some support here. also concerned re nutrition (when vegan/raw) especially vitamin D (difficult in the winter and little sunlight, vitamin B12 (don't like using processed food sources), do animal products have some natural tranquilising effects?(?important for one who has a tendency to anxiety), also essential fatty acids (don't know much about these).

Thanks for adding these true life stories. I am vegan and have been working at 100% raw for two years (I'm at 85-90%) Many dis-eases have been eliminated and I love how the whites of my eyes are actually turning white again. (David Wolfe spoke at my home last month and I was fascinated by the intense clearness of his eyes!) I am only beginning my journey with healing my body through whole, raw foods and prayer. I am batteling depression, and as a result of the depression, obesity. I hope to find strength and wisdom to heal myself, and others like myself. I am especially grateful for anyone who is devoted to living in a state of reverence, gratitude and stewardship over this earth and all that is within it.

We are still in the formative stages of gathering together the resources to settle and make good use of several hundred acres of prime land in the lush tropics of the island of Hawai'i. We need a (legal) driver to get Us around the island to look for the best land where We can begin creating the first Paradise Gardens Sanctuary. If You are dedicated to restoring the Earth back to its Paradisial state, living on the healthiest, most spiritual and karma-free, true Fruitarian diet, living on the land in peace, free from "money" worries, We need You. No money is required for investment purposes, all You need is the desire, dedication to the cause, and to get over here! Please come here before the "Y2K millennium computer bug" makes it impossible to fly anwhere by commercial plane! Aloha, Fruit and Flowers, Gardens Forever, "Paradisian".

I certainly think what you are doing sounds great. I am going to check out your magazine. Many serious diseases are healed from greater enzzyme activity in the body. We also juice carrots. It is very interesting and helpful to read comments and suggestions from others who are aspiring to a healthful diet/life. I feel less isolated. Your comments were especially helpful, noting your experiences in living on fruit. You have inspired me to keep trying to go 100% (or so) raw and eventually 100% (or almost) fruitarian. Thank-you!

The first Paradise Gardens Sanctuaries are now in the early stages of settling the lands. We are calling out all who want to live in the Paradisial Gardens which are Our inheritance. We are not forming a community in the common sense or legal sense of the word, We are reclaiming the Earth and Our Rightful Inheritance in the good lands of this Earth. We will not engage in commercial enterprise or the money system. "As ye have freely received, freely give". We do not impose any sort of religious dogma, We do not proselytise, convert, preach, or recruit people into the Paradisian faith. Our only formal religious activity is in Caretaking the Earth, and freely enjoying the fruits of Creation and Re-Creation ("recreation"). The word Re-legi-on (Re= "again", legis="Law", on="of", 'Again of the Law'... [The Law of Nature]). We rely first, last and always on the Law of Nature, being in tune with the Law of Nature gives rise to Natural Law, which gives rise to the True religion, Paradisianism, which is Our Way of Life. Our Consensus Council is powered and empowered By God (the word God means "Good", in the greatest sense), the 'Author' of the Law of Nature, therefore We don't need rules or agreements of conduct to hold unanimous Consensus Council meetings. What is posted on Our website regarding the Consensus Council agreements is merely exemplory and explanatory. What we seek are those who have already had the vision beyond community, beyond instincto, raw food, vegetarian, vegan, and even fruitarian diet, beyond the need or desire for "money", beyond earthly leaders.... Paradisial Life. Right now there are some 78 areas of land, each 200 acres or greater, on the wet eastern side of the Big Island of Hawai'i alone. http://www.angelfire.com/pq/paradisegardens/links.html#Land All of this is "Open" land, and has no ownership title associated with it. The "State of Hawaii" and "United States of America" claim only "management control" (actually only "custodial title") to these lands which are "in abeyance". For more on this, see http://www.hotspots.hawaii.com/hawaiiankingdom/ ,Our Law links: http://www.angelfire.com/pq/paradisegardens/links.html#Law and Information resources links: http://www.angelfire.com/pq/paradisegardens/links.html#Information Anyone with a superiour interest in the land by making "good use" (meaning growing plants and living Paradisially) on the land cannot be ejected from this land by anyone not making good use of the land, by every premise of International, Common, Hawaiian Kingdom, and Natural Law, all still valid and current in the Hawaiian Islands. Much of the lands are already covered in trees, and have rich soil. Wild guava, coconut, passionfruit, avocado, mango, banana, tamarind, orchids, ginger, silk-cotton, poha, sea cucumber, flowering vines and many other plants for building houses and other purposes are already growing on the land. Streams, waterfalls, beach, hills, everything described on Our website, short of having every native, tropical species of fruit tree and other God-given plant, and Our simple houses, are already on the Land. We will all find each other by going to the lands We are led to by the Spirit. Information on these lnads that coordinates with Island maps can be found at http://www.angelfire.com/pq/paradisegardens/links.html#Land All of the identifying numbers associated with these lands correspond to those numbers in the Realty Atlases and Plat Books kept at the main public library here and at the Real Property Tax offic, respecrively, and are public record data. The Paradise Festival will begin after all the Paradisians have been gathered together on the Festival grounds. The exact location for the Festival will be given individually to each one invited. This is a private Festival open only to Paradisians. It will last for as long as We want it to. "The Paradise Festival is not just a Festival....... it's a Way of Life". All Paradisians are invited. If You see and already agree with this vision, You are Paradisian. If You would like to come here to Participate in the Paradise Restoration Project and live in Perpetual Paradise Gardens Sactuaries, please make a list of Your questions if You have any, then look for the answers to those questions by reading every page on Our website...including any links... especially the Paradisian Study Library/Network page: http://www.angelfire.com/pq/paradisegardens/links.html ,which is linked from almost every page on Our website. If You still have specific (I said "Specific"!!!!!!!!!) questions, please send an e-mail to Us, call, and/or send Us a regular letter with Your specific questions. We will be on the land a lot soon and may not be near phone lines, computers, or even Our mailbox. So please, be patient. If You'd like to call, please give Us several days lead time, tell Us when exactly You'll be calling so We can be here for You when You call. Also please tell Us Your phone number, or pay phone number (check first to make sure it accepts incoming calls!), and the best or exact time(s) to reach You if You want Us to return Your call. We will most likely have a non-phone service- dependent voice mail line soon which will speed up the time for Us to return Your call. We will post this number on these message boards as soon as it's set up. Thanks so much for reading this whole message! Love, Fruit and Flowers!!! Gardens Forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "Paradisian".

Hi, i am 40 years old and have been a devoted raw foodist for 5 months and are reaping the rewards every day, this is the most wonderful gift i have ever given my body and i love the positive head and abundance of excess energy that comes with it. I would like to communicate with raw foodists anywhere on this planet, and would also love to hear from anyone in Australia that has taken on a raw food lifestlye. I plan to make this my mission in life and study on natural hygeine and raw foods so i can pass this information on to others. I am a believer in cooked foods create disease, cooked food is toxic. Feel free to email me, would love to hear from you ...Erica Todays motto "EAT TO LIVE , DON'T LIVE TO EAT"

Started the raw/live food lifestyle 2-1/2 years ago. Did the 21-day process by Jasmuheen last december/january. Thought we would become breatharians afterwards but lost too much weight, so back on the raw/live food diet we are. Would be interested in connecting with others who do eat fruits predominantly (or totally). We have been teaching Raw/Live Food classes for the last 2 years at our home & other cities in eastern & central Canada.

I'll admit it...I have a cooked food addicition; however I realize the importance, the power and the overall benefits of raw-foodism. I have been a vegetarian for 5 years and a "transitioning" vegan for 1. My next step is to transition into raw. It seems overwhelming (especially when surrounded by flesh-eaters) and some of the recipes time-consuming. Can anyone help? Tell me what I need (e.g. essential books, appliances, etc), what I should do, where I should go. Anything. I'll keep reading. Thanks much!

I just read your story. I just came from an AA meeting. I've been sober for 12 years. I've been in OA for 13 years and just got a new sponsor 4 weeks ago who happened to be a 77 year old raw fooder. I didn't know at the time. He has helped me to get on raw foods. 4 weeks on Wednesday. I feel a miraculous change. #1 clarity. #2 no more craving #3 food is so easy. I could go on and on. I feel like a new world has opened up to me. How are you doing these days? Did you ever get to Ca.? I', 46, married to a recovering guy and we are both eating this new way. It's remarkable. We've found several places to start the first Paradise Gardens fruitarian/ paradisian sanctuary...The best, first, practical piece of land is 27 acres in size, in the Puna district... 5000 white pineapples, 1000 to 2000 huge mango trees, hundreds of mature coconut palms, a grove of avocado trees, many excellent banana trees, a huge field of watermelons, thousands of cherry tomatoes, 5 acres of papaya trees, plenty of passionfruit...excellent deep soil and plenty of rainfall. All the plants are 100% naturally grown. The owner of the title to the land said they would take $200,000 down and the other $100,000 on terms and were open to negotiation. Please check out Our website at http://www.angelfire.com/pq/paradisian... Aloha..... Gardens Forever!! "Paradisian".

The first Paradise Gardens sanctuary is waiting to be created and established. Imagine a 'human' nature sanctuary/ live-in botanical gardens of over 200 acres (over 80 hectares) in the beautiful lush lowland tropics of Hawaii. 800 species of fruit tree, a balanced number of male and female Gardens Caretakers, flowing pure water streams, no traffic, no pollution, no power lines needed, gardening, festivals, concerts, great friends and the opportunity to meet your ideal mate, all rolled into one. Good, basic site. Like the recipes. Thank you. I run a small charity shipping old bicycles overseas. We currently have projects in S. Africa, Haiti, Ghana and Mozambique. Workshops are set up to refurbish the bikes, and to fabricate an excellent apparatus which transforms an existing bicycle into a load-carrying workbike. We work with local partners and international NGOs with experience in this field. Please check out our web site. Cheers

i liked the web page. it provided me with much info. i am newly a vegetarian. i went to a docter today hoping to get more info, but all i got was a lecture on how dumb and wrong it is. i understand i'm young and all, but with a decision like this, i know i'm right. i have nothing against meat-eaters, but i wish people would respect my decision. if anyone wants to e-mail me any info on vegetarianism, please do. i need all the help i can get. recipes welcome too! love ya!!!

Enjoyed reading your article. It is great for me to hear about others successes as well as their failures. I, too, have some experience with fasting and detoxing. I have had great success with it; however, I found myself failing and starting over several times. I have no doubt that the combination with raw foods work. This is the only dietary change that has worked for me in 13 years of trying many, many diets. You are very encouraging to those who want to succeed but have to deal with failure from time to time. Thanks for your article. Hope to hear more from you in the future. Carolyn From Virginia

Hello, I'm a 36 year old person who has Rhuematoid Arthritis.I've lived with it for 16 years, and have been using many dangerous drugs to treat it.I've had two total hip replacements, and two total knees.I'm a true believer in healthy eating, and stay away from so much of the crap that they try to sell us.Much of the food I would love to eat causes severe pain, but I must admit my will-power leaves alot to be desired at times.I'm also a firm believer in fasting. My severe and chronic pain virtually vanishes.Anyway...just wanted to say I enjoy the site, and I'm gonna give this raw food thing a try.I'll get back to you later to tell you how I'm doing.Canned food is dead food!Really,eh? me.

Thank you for the section on juicers and comments from all. I'm shopping for one in hopes of doing a juice fast- mostly for health reasons, but also for weight loss (only about 10 pounds). I also intend on making juicing be a part of my daily routine. I've decided on the Champion juicer. Hope I made a good choice- the only other one I've seen in person is the Acme- sounds like that one is a little harder to clean and doesn't juice continuously. Hope I'm making the right choice- white or beige? Thanks again!

I'm not sure that I'm willing to go completely "raw", but I too read the book FIT FOR LIFE and it changed mine. I lost a great deal of weight back in the 80's, then strayed more and more, and eventually gained it back. I didn't get around to trying again until the beginning of '99, but I have gone from about 250 to 180, from a 46 waist to a 36, and I will not be returning to my old body ever again! Of course I indulge in a treat here and there, maybe some caramel or something such as that, but I still combine properly, I eat my fruit reli- giously, and I'm hoping to someday give both of the Diamonds a great big hug! Good luck with your detoxing, but I wouldn't reccomend the fasting. We've all got to eat to live. Thanks for the time...Michael.

Sir, For many years I tried to talk to 'people of religious knowledge' and tried finding out whether My Bible is really a book of immense practical knowledge hidden among matured words or is it just a book which any person of authority, when faced with a deteroriating image, may have used it to write the things he found comfortable in speaking and thus forcfully make others follow. Till I read your comments..... Thank you, for I shall begin now with an open mind.

I have been a raw foodist since May 10, 1999. Well, we all have to start somewhere. I have been a strict vegan vegetarian for a couple of years before. About 2 years ago, I was diagnosed with an aneuriysm of my aorta coming out of the heart, and a bad heart valve. But I have no symtoms and I run 3 to 5 miles every day. The raw food diet has already given me more energy. Every day, I feel stronger and better. When I first heard about raw food, I changed over to 100% with no problems whatsoever. I guess the time was right for me. I am 52 years old, 147 lbs., 5'6", and my cholesterol is at 134. Werner.

Also, I liked that the recipies I saw didn't absolutely require blenders and juicers. I like the idea of (I made this phrase up) "off the grid" raw fooding.

Shawn Luca's entry regarding the trials and tribulations one can go through is very helpful to me. I see the value in the raw food diet. I am an omnivore and I eat cooked food. I just find the idea of eating raw food as a lifestyle as an overwhelming task and a feat of wilpower. I would like to hear more about an average eater going raw - or at least a non-judgemental vegetarian going raw. Thanks, Andrejka

Congratulation, this is a promising approach. Have you considered obtaining lasting results? After all, techniques of mind control, e.g. the Silva method, offer powerful techniques, that help overcoming personal challenges like the ones you describe. A raw food diet coupled with techniques of programming your mind will lead you to the real goal of your life. In addition, a constant communication with God Almighty the Creator of All strengthens your efforts and eventually may end that vicious circle of falling for any further undesired temptation or the temporal return of the demons from your past. This kind of challenge can best be overcome by means of protective daily prayers to God Almighty the Creator of All. He offers the most powerful weapon against these physically invisible forces of darkness, provided you really mean it and prove that you are serious for some time. This is speaking from experience. I don't know why I chose to send just you a message. I guess, I was inspired... This message was not written for a certain purpose. It was just meant to encourage you to go on. Wanna know what "philosophy" is behind this approach? www.phoenicians.com may give you a hint. God bless you and never give up. Regards from a fellow man.

I will like to know if there is a Doctor in Europe (France, Belguim) who eats raw food and can take care of his patiens by alternative medicine. I have been reading the books of Dr Norman Walker, and me and my family are eating raw food; But unfortunately I cannot managed to find a Dr who practices Natures' Law. Please, if you happen to hear from a Doctor who can help my friends and my family let me know. Thanks in advance; Love & Light Susana

Thank you for sharing this information. I am reading all I can on this, and although I tried the raw foods route, I failed horribly after one week. I got the recipe books, but I need to go someplace to learn HANDS-ON. Then I can take what I learn and use a book to enhance it. I believe in it 100%. But, being married to one who most likely will not ' change, it is going to be difficult, because when I say, "If you want your food cooked, then cook it yourself," that is not going to go over very well. I know I have to do it, and do it for MYSELF and no one else. If you happen to know of ANYONE that has experienced healing from CHRONIC PROGRESSIVE Multiple Sclerosis by going 100% raw.... let me be put in touch with any and all of them. I have a dear friend who's doctor has already given him his death sentence and I am certain he too could experience healing... he won't do the diet. His doctor has told him "diet won't work." If I can get him 10 testimonials from former MS sufferers, who have turned their lives around this way, he will probably try it. He is so young, and I know in my heart he doesn't have to accept his doctor's words. Contact me via email if you wish to get his email address to share a miracle with him. Thank you!

I feel that what you have to say here is 100% true. I have switched to a 100% raw food diet for about one month now and am feel much better in all areas of my life. I feel it comes down to discipline and the sad fact is that most people don't have the discipline to even care about what they eat. I am a therapist - counselling and I see this in my practice all the time - People eat food to fullfill emotional problems. Another interesting fact is that people don't see food as a drug and really when you think about it that is exactly what it is. People become addicted to food in the same way they become addicted to drugs or alcohol. Maybe this is the next step to getting people to understand. Just a thought!!!! Thanks Peta....

We were traveling home last year after our vacation, and stopped in a Wild Oats health food store. I met the nicest, most energetic man working there, who said he ate nothing cooked. This was a new concept for me. I have been taking charge of my own health for the last year or two, since the doctors couldn't help. I don't know if I'm ready to go all raw but I'm working on changing the way my family eats. I was excited to find this website and the recipes. Thanks!

hello dear family, Happy I am to be in contact with you. Health as a foundation for life Living just and pure is the way to achieve the aim of Universal Love realization. Healing comes first. I wish to start with a group a natural living artistic expression healing community. Mexico may be a good setting. As a service to the soul and humanity, in touch with Pure Earth Living. As cosmic travellers I think our purpuse is served best to be in complete contact with the Earth, as the foundation of beauty required to be ion touch with the Universal Love. It is unwise to further compromise with the collective ignorant standard of living. Why continue in the great rape of our mother? Let us become the wise, the strong that decide to show a different way. Most of all with a Space of Peace here in the Earth-sphere the internal peace can radiate stronger. Let us get together and realize our common shared dream. There is a great level of readiness, the next step is providing the framework to the many willing to change their Earth-experience. I changed my diet about six years ago by eliminating most carbohdrates, sugar, caffeine, wheat, etc. I was relieved of obsessive complusive disorder, panic attacks, severe depression and anxiety. Hi Kurt, I enjoyed your review of Instincto therapy,I have practiced it myself, in my own way after two weeks at Montrame, for about five years, 2 yrs in my homeland of Mauritius and about three yrs in the States. As you know it is not something easy. I am off now, I eat about 80% raw, healthwise it was unbelievable, but I found it very difficult socially, except when I was at the Chateau. I have done quite some research on cancer and have started a book on curing cancer by removing the causes, of course raw food is of prime importance in it. Thanks for your info on the English versions, I already have the Australian book and will order the American ones. I am very familiar with a number of the books you recomend such as that of Weston Price, Pottenger. Sincerely, Guy Harel

I have been a vegetarian for 20 years. About 2 years ago, I went vegan. I really enjoy baking whole wheat bread, so the idea of giving it up is not appealing to me. Also, while the idea of a raw diet is appealing, it sounds like it might be much more costly and inconvenient than simply buying conventional non-dairy non-meat foods from a market. It is very interesting to me, and I would appreciate any information that might help me better understand the whole process TONY

Great Site! Never knew there were so many people eating raw. I've been eating about 85% raw for the past 3 months, but finding it hard when travelling or eating at restaurants. I would also like to speak to anybody who has been eating raw food in treating Arthritis, as I suffer from Ankylosing Spondylitis.

Hello----I was originally looking for computer help. Why are you advertised in the local papers as a computer training center? I would like to know....did I get the wrong site? So, you guys eat it all raw. Does that mean raw vegan? or do you eat raw oysters and tartar? too? Don't you miss a good steak? good luck with your program

I too wonder why chronic constipation is so hard to combat but think it is a matter of training the bowel muscles how to deal with stress. Although l have just re-begun following a healthy raw diet l think stress over my health causes the bowel to constrict so l am practising a little meditation and visualisation in that area.

Thanks for making this available. I'm 39 and am just starting on my raw journey. We have four kids (ages 3 to 18) and the last two are allergic to all forms of animal protein—it gives them breathing problems. So, they have been vegans; however, I have been relying on processed/cooked foods for them. I finally am able to understand why it's so important to have enzymes in our life. Needless to say, not everyone is enthusiastic about eating new and different food, so I'm taking it slow with the kids. Fortunately, my husband and I are in agreement about this issue. The kids still want Pizza Hut pizza. Habits can be difficult to break. I know, sometimes I want it, too. Anyway, thanks for putting this out. Kathryn

Hi! I'm completely new in the "raw-field". I've been trying to stay raw for (only) three weeks. But it's not easy, because of the negative attitudes of the rest of the world. And I'm still a little bit worried about my two kids (4 and 1,5 years)....is raw enough? How can I make them gain weight? Or at least make them keep their weight?....what shall we eat? Just fruits and vegetables? Mixed? Plain? What about winter season???? Questions over questions....searching for answers.... I'm checking on the e-mail adresses and will eventually mail some persons directly and ask. That seems to be the easiest way. Thanks for being there! Best regards Conny

I used to eat about 65% raw foods and felt radiant. Lately I've been eating more cooked food (still vegan) than I know is ideal and wish to return to my disciplined ways. I never used to crave bread, sugar, and other unnecessary foods like corn chips and processed condiments. So hopefully checking out your website will encourage me to eat cleaner again. Thank you for being here. Jennifer

I too, once found this book very inspiring. It seems there are very few places in the world that practice the principles of "natural living". I knew of a man in Australia (where I'm from) that wrote some material about Naturopathy, and I am wondering if it is possible to get hold of any of his publications. His name is Kenneth S Jaffreys, and he published several booklets, some of which were titled "The Philosophy of Naturopathy", "The Cause of Disease", "Natural Healing", and several others. Send me some info if you know anything....Thanks.

I'm glad to have found this website. I've been vegan for several months and a recent raw foodist. I tried fruitarianism but just it didn't work for me, all that commercial hybrid fruit made me feel like a sugar-addict all over again (it could've been the dried fruits). I love being a raw foodist, and it's so easy when I give myself a large variety like veggies, fruits, nuts, seeds, and honey. But, financially I am having some problems, I don't want to get a job and my family (I'm 17) doesn't always have raw fruits and veggies around. So, my only solution is to eat less--meaning one modest meal a day, for example a large cucumber and that's it. I heard that prunes shrink the stomach. I'd love to hear from you if you have any suggestions.
