• The Raw and Living Food Diet by Alissa Cohen. The book has just come out, go to her web site for info or see her flyer on rawtimes

• The Raw Gourmet by Nomi Shannon is the best there is. Oversize with gorgeous classy pictures. The book to get. And here is a little review by Kat Summers
  The Raw Gourmet, Simple Recipes for Living Well is absolutely beautiful! For myself, I am inclined to just slice open a papaya or haphazardly toss some greens in a bowl. But I do try to maintain a social life, and your recipes are just the thing to serve guests, or bring to a potluck--even for my half-baked and terminally fried friends. I especially love your photos showing how great raw food meals can look when presented well. Also, I'm bringing the book (for show and tell) to our second ever raw potluck here in Phoenix. (I told the coordinator I'd bring it along, and since then I've had two calls reminding me not to forget it.) We're a small group so far, but I know they'll love your book, so I'll pass on the info to order directly from you.

  Nomi, I really have to commend you and your publisher on the book. The large format and heavy pages lays open beautifully. This is a recipe book, a reference book and a work of art. The presention really makes live cuisine sizzle. It's a nice book to leave out on the table. If you get them into doctors' waiting rooms, we could probably win a lot of converts. Just about everyone I've shown it to wants a copy. I think it's going to be a best seller at Planet Health. Get it on Oprah or Sally and you'll be scheduled for a second printing before the sun sets. I hope you'll do something about the Braggs and the sea salt for the next edition. I've tried a couple of recipes, but modified them to for the VitaMix, (which is the only machine I use, other than a Saladacco) and they worked fine. I like the food-combining section and the interesting informative articles you've included. I look forward to reading the book from cover to cover and getting it autographed when you come to New York in May. Best of luck with it.
